Overview
Becoming a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) is a demanding but also rewarding process. Since I am embarking on this learning and training journey, I would like to share some basic knowledge about how to become a Microsoft Certified Trainer.
Pre-requisites
Must attain the CompTIA CTT+ certification and have one eligible Microsoft certificate, for example Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate. All Microsoft eligible certifications can be found at: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/certifications/mct-certification.
Fees
There is an MCT calculator available online at: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/learning/mct-programfees.aspx. There is a fixed startup cost and an annual cost for MCT membership renewal.

Afterword
Of course simply attaining the MCT status is not enough on its own. It is important to note that becoming an MCT is a life-long commitment and goal. Staying active in training and delivering courses throughout the year is number one. On another note, setting up realistic goals with regard to your audience and training curricula and planning ahead always makes the difference and should be a decisive factor in your career as a Microsoft Certified Trainer.
