Citrix has recommended a best practice reference architecture for service provider environments over the years. The Citrix VAD Reference Architecture for service providers includes the network logical architecture of all involved Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (Citrix VAD) components as well as information about the traffic flows among the components and applicable hybrid scenarios. With the introduction and increasing usage of Citrix Cloud services and the Citrix Workspace Cloud, more components were moved to the Citrix Cloud. Old cloud orchestration and automation system logic embodied in Citrix products such as CloudPortal Services Manager (CPSM) is now implemented natively within the Citrix Cloud.
