Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) service options
Citrix offers the following two services for implementing Virtual Apps and Desktops cloud service:
- Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops service (managed entirely via the Citrix Cloud and can deploy in any CVAD resource location)
- Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Standard for Azure (can only deploy on Azure)

There is no architectural difference between the above two deployment options. The most important difference is that CVAD Standard for Azure can only deploy on Azure, whereas the full CVAD Service can deploy in any resource location, as well as on-premise or any on other Cloud besides Azure.
Both above options can could be used as Single or Multi-Tenant deployment.
The below article lays out the reference architecture for CVAD Standard for Azure:

When implementing solutions based on the above reference architectures, it is mandatory to utilize both the Azure pricing calculator (if Azure resource location is involved) and the Citrix latest CVAD pricing calculator which is available at: https://costcalculator.apps.cloud.com/advanced
