XenApp 7.15 LTSR CU2 black screen.

7.15 LTSR CU2 sessions might launch as a black screen. The issue occurs with sessions running on XenApp and XenDesktop 7.15 LTSR CU2 and 7.17 VDAs when Profile Management is enabled.

Follow instructions at https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX235100 for a step-by step workaround. In a nutshell, the 7.15 LTSR CU2 UPM component needs to be manually uninstalled by using a Citrix Powershell script and then the 7.15 LTSR CU1 UPM component is manually installed on the VDA. However even when reverting to CU1, the following known issue still stands.

Users may see blank tiles/icons in the Start Menu or the Start Menu corrupted in their published desktops when User Profile Management shipped with VDA 7.15 LTSR CU1/CU2/7.16/7.17 is enabled for user profile roaming. This missing icons issue happens with second or subsequent logins, and may occur intermittently. The issue is not observed with VDA 7.15. Waiting on Citrix to provide a permanent fix and slipstream it to CU2 or provide it as part of CU3.
