How to change nsroot password for Citrix ADC

Case #

You need to change the nsroot password for Citrix ADC. This assumes you already know the current nsroot password.

Solution #

Option 1: Citrix ADC GUI #

  • In the Citrix ADC GUI, logon as an system administrator user.
  • Expand System>User Administration.
  • Go to Users.
  • Right click on nsroot and Change Password.

Option 2: Citrix ADC CLI #

Enter the following command: 

set system user nsroot password

The new password for user nsroot will be the one you enter just after nsroot in the command.
